Who we are
Glitchcraft Arena ("we", "us") operates this site. This page explains what we collect from writers, readers, and visitors, and what we do with it. It is maintained by us, not an independent auditor.
What we collect
Account data (email, handle, role), submitted stories and PDF manuscripts, feedback you write, payment metadata from Stripe (we never see card numbers), and basic analytics (pages visited, device class). We do not sell personal data.
How we use it
To run arenas, route reader assignments, calculate scores and payouts, send transactional emails (assignments, results, payouts), and prevent abuse. AI-grading uses your submissions and feedback as inputs and stores the resulting scores.
Subprocessors
Supabase (database, auth, storage), Stripe (payments and payouts), Mailgun via Lovable (email delivery), and OpenAI-class providers via Lovable AI Gateway (scoring and plagiarism checks). Each handles only what is needed for its function.
Retention
Account, submission, and feedback records are retained while your account exists and for up to 24 months after closure for accounting, legal, and dispute resolution. Payout records are retained 7 years to satisfy tax requirements.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by emailing privacy@glitchcraft.arena. We will respond within 30 days. Deletion does not retract published winning entries or aggregate leaderboard data.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies for sign-in sessions and a single analytics cookie for page views. No third-party advertising cookies.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. PDFs are accessed via short-lived signed URLs scoped to the requesting reader or writer. We use role-based access controls on every table.
Children
The platform is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
